About Laura

Laura Flippin was born in Washington DC.  She attended The College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia.  Laura graduated in 1992 with a degree in government and public policy.  She then attended the University of Virginia School of Law and obtained a Master of Arts in American Government.  Laura Flippin has a wide array of experiences working with the law, including serving as a Special Assistant to the President of the White House as well as a Deputy Assistant Attorney General at the US Department of Justice.  Currently she is a partner in DLA Piper's Litigation practice.

When Laura is not at work, she loves to travel for pleasure as well as watch movies, read, and dine out.  One of her favorite things is going out to a great restaurant with good company.  She is also a loving sister to Bonnie Flippin.  You can visit one of Laura's webpages about movies here.
